Sun Warrior

Added on Nov 7, 2012

Since I have been choosing to eat more and more raw vegan after watching Food Inc. and a couple of other mind boggling, twisted images of what is really going on with our food chain, I have become extremely grateful for products like Sunwarrior.

20130304-123954.jpg

I usually wake up, have a http://www.sunwarrior.com/store/?affId=86521%22 mixed with Coconut Milkcoconut milk in the morning, a green shake mid morning and another protein shake in the afternoon if necessary. As I am learning a new way to eat these protein drinks have been my little miracle drink- they fill me up, give me energy and my skin has really started to glow since drinking them!

I’ve been using their products for a little over a year now and I consistently have been using the Protein powder, Super Greens and Liquid Light. Love, love love them! I honestly didn’t notice the difference until I stopped using them. I felt sluggish and tired one afternoon and thought, “What is wrong with me?” I suddenly realized I’d run out of my drinks and had put off ordering them. As soon as I started drinking them again I felt radiant, energetic and my blood sugar stopped dropping so quickly after meals again.

My favorite part is that they are grown in the volcanic, nutrient and mineral rich soil from my hometown- Southern Utah!

Behind The Scenes with Zo Peacemaker

Foreword from “The Infinite Me” by Zo the Peacemaker

Added on Oct 23, 2012

“Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex… It takes a touch of genius – and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction.”
-Albert Einstein

Almost two years ago I was walking down the pet isle at the grocery store looking at cat food when I received a phone call that changed my life.
“Hello?”
A rather deep, confident voice boomed back, “Hi! We have a mutual friend. Bret Woodgate? He told me you would be the perfect person to help me with my book.”
“How do you know Bret?”
“We were Quest buddies…”
A smile crept across my face at the mention of one of my dearest friend’s names…
Two years later, I sit here at my kitchen table listening to the rain pattering on my balcony with the tall evergreens typical of the Pacific Northwest smiling at me from the greenbelt across the way. As I stare out the window and reminisce about all that has occurred in my life since the day I first spoke to Zo Peacemaker, I am astounded at how much could change so drastically in just under two years…
The process of writing The Process was no easy process.
If I were to write about all the unusual synchronicities that began to happen once we first met, I would fill an entire novel. There were so many things that lined up in perfection to bring this book to life. It was as if each chapter happened in both our lives before it came together on paper. Then, again, as I was editing each chapter, I would have something show up in my life to teach me the principles I was about to edit. It was as if I were prepared ahead of time to be able to comprehend the information on the deepest level possible. With every round we went through, I got another opportunity to experience each concept again. As I write this and think about it, it almost sounds overwhelming to be living the book as I am editing it. However, I’d been experiencing this phenomenon for a few years before I met Zo—so, again, it was as if I’d been prepared to edit this book before I ever met the author.
Not only did this book require advance preparation for me to understand the concepts, but it took much patience. We were originally going to release the book on 7-7-2011, then on 9-9-2011, then on 11-11-11, then at our New Year’s event for 2012. It seemed every time we went to release the book, something would happen to prevent it. As I now write this foreword, it is with a knowing that all the delays, all the complications, all the conditions that surrounded its prolonged time with me were for a reason: the information needed time to ground with us so we could hold it in the best container possible for you, the reader.
Not only is this information prolific, but I am honored to be one of the vessels through which it is delivered. It has been an honor to get to know Zo, understand his concepts, and assist in the birth of this beautiful book.
Whether he is standing in front of a crowd delivering a speech about the workings of the Universe or sitting on the couch in his student’s living room assisting them in learning The Process, Zo has the capacity to fill the room with calm, nurturing energy than can soothe even the most explosive fire personality. From watching him interact with others I have not only grown to understand the principles he teaches on a much deeper level, but I have been able to apply them in my own life as well—which, in turn, has created a space for my children to grow up with The Process as part of their normal daily routine.
What a blessing this journey has been, what a joy it has been to witness Zo in action. Not only has he shown me the potential of what it is like to communicate in an open, honest, sincere way between two people, but also what it would be like to live in a society where this kind of communication is practiced.
With The Shift Equation on your toolbelt, not only will you be able to glide through life easier, but you will be able to conserve the energy that was once given to negativity and begin to walk an enlightened path—seeing the potential of those around you. For when we begin to see other’s potential, we truly recognize our own. It is this gift I have received from Zo— that of seeing my own potential and the potential of humanity.
The quote at the beginning of this section is the perfect way for me to describe this book. Zo has taken concepts that were once uncomprehendable and created something quite simple, profound and tangible. This gift has enabled many to begin to understand the way energy works. When we begin to understand the way energy works, we begin to see the logic in choosing to live a more conscious, positive, sustainable life.
This journey has been a humbling, blissful and blessed experience. I am honored to be a part of this sacred work and feel priveleged to have had the opportunity to assist in its birth. Zo has changed many lives in just the few short years I’ve known him and I look forward to seeing the many more lives he will touch. He is a blessing to this world and will someday be spoken of amongst the names of Deepak Chopra, Carl Castenada, Eckhart Tolle and Louise Hay.

Natural Face Cleanse

Added on Oct 22, 2012

Here are some more recipes we have found to use as a natural face cleanse.  Since there is a natural acid layer on the skin that is removed by most cleansers, we have discovered that using oils to cleanse the skin is the best way to assist the skin in becoming its most brilliant!   You can substitute Hemp Oil for Coconut Oil or Sunflower Oil if you like!  You can also substitute the Eucalyptus and Spearmint for another essential oil.

Here is a good page to read that talks more about using oil as a cleanser:  http://www.theoilcleansingmethod.com/

Recipes:

Cleanser:

Mix together: Hemp oil, Helichrysum oil, Eucalyptus oil, Spearmint oil  in a small glass bottle.  Rub on your skin just as you would a facial soap.  Rinse with water.  Follow with tonic and moisturizer.

Toner:

Apple Cider Vinegar.  I put it in an old children’s tylenol bottle and keep it on my bathroom counter.  Use a cotton ball, spread it evenly over face with eyes closed (ACV can burn the eyes, so avoid the eye area)  You can also dilute it with half water and half ACV if you choose– if full strength is too potent for you.

http://www.laurelofleaves.com/2012/05/apple-cider-vinegar-facial-toner/

 Moisturizer:

Tamanu Oil.  Just put it right on your skin and smooth as you would a moisturizer!

This along with a few minutes in the sun each day will make your skin glowing and radiant!

Let Go of Guilt and Take in Bliss

Added on Oct 22, 2012

Never refuse to pay homage to any thing that brings you joy… for whenever you feel joy, the universe smiles… and will always provide whatever you need to feel that bliss. When you feel guilt around your joy, it brings disappointment- not unto the bringer, but unto the receiver. For a moment of bliss is what all creation is ever after.

Perception

Added on Oct 2, 2012

There is a universal law that is apparent in the personal space of a human. This law is the law of perception. It states that when one operates from perception, that is, through their history, in turn they will always be looking behind them. It is then they realize that when viewing the world through their percepton, they are not going anywhere. This is because perception really is just a mirror. If they begin to use the mirror as a tool, however, it will assist greatly in clearing their space. The purpose of this mirror is to show the human holding their perception (the mirror) which power they are operating from. At this point while looking in the mirror, the human has a choice to recognize that their perception has served them in seeing the density that has attached itself together within them, or to hold tightly to their mirror so that they cannot see what lies ahead because their perception is blocking their vision. If the human keeps holding so tightly to the mirror that all the human can see is themselves, then their perception will always be in the way of seeing the beauty and abundance of what lies before them. -The Dichotomy of Wholeness

Green Coffee Beans?

Added on Sep 24, 2012

I’ve been seeing information about this green coffee bean all over the internet.   Finally, one day I clicked on one of the ads and started reading.  What I found out was pretty amazing to me.

You see, I’m as busy as any other mother of 4.  Add in homeschooling and running a publishing company and getting a balance of exercise and nutrition into my diet is often a challenge for me.   I have every intention of getting in an hour on my elliptical or a pilates workout or yoga session in daily.  However, my kids don’t always agree with that intention and I end up spending my day cleaning the house, running errands and nurturing these little humans.

So, when I started reading about this green coffee bean I was excited for two reasons:

  1. When my blood sugar drops, having patience with four rambunctious children isn’t always a walk in the park.  Oftentimes I am too busy feeding them I don’t always take the time to feed myself in the most nutritious way.  Yes, I am becoming much more conscious of this and choosing healthier things to pop in my mouth on the go.  However, this green coffee bean is supposed to inhibit the metabolization of sugar in the blood stream.  What does this mean for someone like me?  That when I take this little green bean as a supplement 30 minutes before a meal, it prevents the sugar in the food I just grabbed in order to prevent myself from turning into a crazy lunatic from entering my bloodstream all at once.  Why is this such a good thing?  Well, these after-meal glucose “spikes” inflict silent damage to cells via multiple mechanisms and have been linked to all kinds of health issues such as: cardiovascular disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, kidney problems, and other inflammatory diseases.  Yes, these little green beans are supposed to help our bodies avoid all that mess… this also means no buildup of fat in my body- because as we all know, sugar turns to fat when its not burned.
  2. I spend a lot of time on the computer on my work days- which means sitting in a chair, so I don’t get as much exercise as my body deserves.   I have been getting up every couple of hours and doing 5-15 minute cardio bursts.  This has helped prevent the chair fatique my body experiences.  However, my metabolism isn’t quite keeping up with my food intake on these days.  So this little bean helps to boost my metabolism, burning that fuel that is sitting in my body waiting for a purpose.  It also enhancing the burning of fat in my liver.
So, I decided to give it a try.  I don’t usually take these kind of supplements.  But, when I found out the benefits of this little bean, and the fact that it has zero side effects, I couldn’t resist.
I’ve been taking it for a couple weeks now.  At first I wasn’t consistent with it, but, over the past week and a half I’ve been taking it regularly.  I’ve noticed a pretty substantial difference in my energy levels.  I also don’t eat as much (not sure if that is supposed to happen).  The coolest part is: I got on the scale this morning and I’ve lost 4 pounds– which I’ve not changed anything other than taking my green coffee to accomplish this!

Here is the video that convinced me to give it a shot:

Emily’s Homemade Hair Conditioner

Added on Sep 13, 2012

For the first time in my life, my hair is down to my waist.  This is a big deal for me, considering how often I change my hair color.  I’ve always wanted long hair, but usually my spontaneous urges to change my hair color so often has inhibited my ability to put up with dry, damaged hair long enough to let it grow long.  My mom introduced me to WEN By Chaz Dean a few years ago.  It is pretty amazing.  I can honestly say it is the only reason I was able to grow my hair out and still dye it pretty often.  The only downside to this amazing product is that it is wicked expensive.  And the longer my hair got, the more expensive it got.  Well, I got tired of spending $60 a month on hair conditioner and decided to find an alternative.  After much research, I came up with my own recipe.  It comes pretty close to my Wen.  Although, in a perfect world, Chaz would spontaneously call me and give me his secret recipe… ha ha.   Here it is my friends, for your enjoyment.  All free.  Well, the ingredients might  cost you a couple bucks. But you use so little each batch they will last you forever.  After all, the main ingredient is good ‘ol H20.

So you can experiment with using a few different oils.  I found I love coconut oil and hemp oil mixed.  You can also choose your scent.  Of course, my favorite is Coconut Lime.  For really dry hair, use a tad bit more coconut oil.  For oily hair, use less.

Emily’s Homemade Hair Conditioner Recipe:

1 1/3 cups of water.  (I let my water sit in the sun all day with my favorite crystals that I have programmed in it.  Ideally I would use rain water.)

  • 1 tsp of Coconut Oil
  • 1 tsp of Hemp Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Guar Gum
  • 1/2 teaspoon Xanthan Gum
  • 5-7 drops Essential Oils  (when i use hemp oil I add a few extra drops of essential oil for hemp has a very strong odor.)

Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until thickened!  Pour into a used conditioner bottle and voila!

Make sure you check the label of the oil you are using to see if it needs refrigeration. (hemp oil does)  If so, store it in the refrigerator.

What to do with your big fat crush?

Added on Sep 10, 2012

We’ve all been hit by this. This feeling that rushes through your body from head to toe, making your stomach tighten when you think of a certain special someone. Someone who you just started thinking about with a slight curiosity and then an obsession took over. It doesn’t matter how well you know them or if you even met them in person. Something attracted you to them and they stay there in the back of your mind. Just thinking of them gives you so much energy! Whoa! And your thinking speeds up and suddenly your imagination runs wild!

Say hello to a love-like energy. I don’t know what it is, but I know it’s got to be high up on the scale of positive energy. It feels amazing, doesn’t it? It’s like a wild fire! It raises the hair on your skin and tickles your tummy with butterflies! It makes you want to jump, dance, sing, and shout! So you start using all that energy to go after your crush, to imagine situations with them, to draw pictures, to write songs, and facebook stalk them. But then when that moment comes, that moment of expressing your love to them, sometimes they turn you down… and may even think you’re a bit creepy ha ha. Well, sometimes it just isn’t meant to be. You aren’t ready for them or they aren’t ready for you. OR they do like you back and start a relationship with you, but then later down the road that wild fire is just smoke. You suddenly start seeing from that person, all the things that bothered you about yourself when you started the relationship. So you wonder, well, how am I suppose to deal with these crushes when they come? I don’t want my heart to get crushed. That flaming energy is hard to ignore. True, true. It’s a beautiful energy. And you know what? It shouldn’t be ignored. So what do we do with it?

We redirect it.

You know those times when you’re staring at your list of goals or thinking of those ways you want to better yourself, but you don’t have the energy to do it? Well, now that you have a crush, you’ve got A LOT of energy! Instead of using that energy to obsess about the person, use it for yourself. You deserve it. Your crush deserves it too, if it’s meant to be ;) . You love that person, right? So you would only want the best for them, right? So how can you be YOUR best? Notice how I capitalized “your”, because you really can’t know who is best for your crush and you don’t want to try fitting yourself into that container. You should be embracing the full potential of YOU. Because  if your crush does fall for you, you want it to really be for you and not some mask that you had put on in order to get their attention. So, again, how can you be your best? Do you wish you were more healthy? More beautiful? More smart? More confident? Then take the actions that you think will get you there. This is a moment for you to dig further into your authenticity, purpose, and personal truth. Don’t even bother chasing after your crush. Because if you have things that bother you about yourself in the very moment you begin a new relationship, then that’s what will reflect back at you in the relationship. But if you use that “crush energy” to better yourself to the point of being fully satisfied with yourself, then a fully satisfying relationship will come knocking on your door. It may be your crush or it may be someone you’ve never met. It may completely surprise you. Whoever it is, though, will truly love you for who you are (thanks to that “crush energy”!).

Much of this wisdom came from Emily Henderson and The Ringing Cedars series. I had an amazing conversation about this with Emily, because obviously I’m experiencing some of this myself :D . Emily will be releasing her book, The Triad Principle, soon and this book will have so many important messages that everyone deserves to hear. Please subscribe (orange button) or sign up for our newsletter for updates. We at Kokonutlime have our hands full with wisdom from people like Emily, Zo the Peacemaker, and Courtney Walsh. It’s coming! So much to share with you!

Making the Law of Attraction Really Work…

Added on Aug 27, 2012

When I first saw the movie, The Secret, a few years ago I thought, “Cool! I can get whatever I want by just thinking about it?”  Then after a few attempts I called bullsh@t.  I thought it was all hype and was just promoting magical thinking.  As I researched it more and more I found out I wasn’t the only one who thought this way.  There were hundreds of forums I came across with people saying things like,

“I really wanted a new truck.  So I went to the dealership and sat in one and smelled the leather, imagined what it would be like to own the truck, thought about how much I wanted it every day and I still don’t have the truck.”

I knew this Law of Attraction was becoming over-commercialized.  So I began to chuckle when I would see the latest book, movie, documentary or self-help seminar advertising that they knew all the secrets to how to get the Law of Attraction to work for you.  I chuckled, not because the Law of Attraction isn’t real, but because all this hype was putting people in a space of lack mindset.  I hadn’t seen one product, seminar, book or documentary that pointed out the truth.

Think REALLY hard about what you want (don’t have) and feel like you would feel if you had it (which is impossible because imagining how you would feel about something when you haven’t really experienced it is basically saying, “Hey!  Go imagine feeling what it’s like to have what you don’t.”  Which equals more lack), then if you think about it long enough it will pop up on your front door one day!  (Lottery mindset= thinking you don’t have enough and the only way you can get it is for someone else to give it to you.)

The results of this way of thinking can be pretty traumatic and disempowering.  First, believing our reality is built simply by our thoughts is a fallacy.  Our thoughts are a result of our observation of reality on many levels.   Thoughts are merely an observation of our subconscious reality.  We are spiritual beings experiencing a physical reality.  Therefore, our physical thoughts don’t create our reality, but rather presence our reality in our physical experience.   It is a matter of paying attention to our thoughts that give us the ability to tune into the environmental factors that create a path for us to find our desires.  If we are spending all of our time thinking and not acting, however, we are just presence-ing lack.

So, of course, because I know the Law of Attraction is the way form is created I am completely intrigued with the REALITY of how it works and how we can use our awareness of it to presence a reality that we desire.  Does repeating “I want a truck” over and over again really land a truck in our driveway?  No.  As a matter of fact, if there is a belief anywhere within us that believes in any way, shape or form that having a truck might cause us harm in any way whatsoever it is likely that we will not ever manifest a truck.

Why?

Because our subconscious knows everything about us.  If there were ever a point in our experiences that owning a truck caused fear within us then it is likely we will never own one.

Our subconscious’ job is to protect us!  Therefore, it will HIDE any paths that may lead us to owning a truck from our CONSCIOUS reality!

WHAT?  Curse you subconscious!  I want a truck!

Nope.  Not budging on this one.  That subconscious of ours is like a militant parent.  NOT going to budge.  Unless…

We reprogram our subconscious into thinking a truck is safe.  As a matter of fact, it is in our best interest to own one!  If we can succeed in that, then all the doors to the reality of owning a truck swing wide open and bam!  The pathway lights up and all we have to do is take the steps toward our desire.

So how do we begin to reprogram our subconscious?  Affirmations?  Yes, they are fantastic!  But what if we don’t believe them?  Will we be pushing the truck further away as we are affirming it?  Yes.

So how do we bypass our conscious mind and go straight to the subconscious?

I found a way.

And it works.

The question is, are you willing to give it a shot?  I guess the worst thing that can happen is losing your fear…

Oh, and if you don’t click on the link above you are not going to have one thing bad happen to you.  You will not be punished by some supernatural power for not clicking on it, or for not sharing it.  You will not lose your job, be struck by lightning, or have bad luck.  Absolutely nothing will happen.   Nothing.   So if you don’t want anything to change in your reality just ignore this whole page and go back to what you were doing before you curiously clicked on this post wondering what could possible improve your current situation and continue to have nothing change.  Go on.  Why are you still reading this?  Go ahead, do nothing and close this window.  Ok?

Ps.  If you are still reading this, do yourself a favor and satisfy your curiosity with 9 minutes of some of the best information you will ever see… no, serious, just do it.  Or not.  Because if you don’t nothing will happen.  Absolutely Nothing.
